any technical process which has the front end and back end used for business transaction purpose are the examples of OLTP.
Frond end can be designed in any language (java, c, .net, etc...)
Back end should be the database (db2, oracle, Teradat, etc...)
Examples of OLTP, i will go with the above commented posts.
