other than equity share holder or to the owner.dividend is
paid to the preferance share holder before the profit is
transfer to the equity share holder.

prefrance equity is a capital stock like common stock but
it get a fixed ammount of divinded before common stock if
compny have capital for that . it have parcial ownership in
company not like common equity.it have no voting right.when
any company cought in bankruptcy it get first right to
compsate himself.
