whenever the defect will be raised it should be closed by
the same person who raised the defect or other member of
the same team

when BUG is raised , then QA send it to the developer in bug
tracking tool, afterward when bug is fixed by developer,then
QA will close the bug, as it is fixed........

Ya the same person who raised the defect or other member of
the same team.But on what basis he will close the bug.He is
using any referances to ensure that the bug is in closed
status.

its the duty of tester to close the bug.
After the bug is fixed by the dev and sent to the testing
team for testing,the tester verifies it and if its working
as expected then he'll change the status to Verified-Fixed
or Closed.

When T.E finds defect he should communicate defect to developer using defect tracking tool.
By default status of Defect tracking tool is New.
Developer fix the defect and change the status from New to Fixed. Send new s/w to T.E.
T.E will uninstall old s/w and install new s/w. Then T.E will changed the status from Fixed to Closed.

when the developer fixes the defect and the status is
changed to retest,After retesting the defect, tester will
update the comments in QC as per the comments manager will
close the defect

Tester closed the bugs .when tester find the bug he sent to
developer (these depends upon the company organization some
times first he will send to the test lead and then test lead
assigned to these bug to developer) and developer fix the
bug and developer modification of the bug then release to
the next build to tester.the tester again test the that bug
and he satisfies close that bug, and at the same time
current build test cases verifing

once the bug found than test engg will send that bug to the
developing team and now the development lead assign that
bug to one of the development engg now he/she will fix the
bug and send to test engg now test engg will check wheather
the bug is really fixed or not.If the bug is really fixed
than test engg will close the bug otherwise he will send
back that bug to the development engg and now the ststus of
the bugis reopened.

Hello. I am not here to answer your question. I jus found a job as software QA engr. And i am totally new to software testing. So can someone pls help me in the following scenario? there is this registration screen, and it contain: One textbox called Nickname which only accept alphanumerical One textbox called Contact which only accept numerical, One textbox called Email which can be filled with alphanumerical and symbol and One button called Register now becos there is so many textboxes, where i can filled with alphabet, number, symbol, "just space", leading zeros, leading space. there will be lots of combination. can someone pls help.. i will be appreciated if u can post the test case of the scenario i mentioned.
