can i put two batteries in place of one battery in 600VA
UPS? If yes, then it will be whether in series or parellel.

Yes u can put two batteries in place of one battery,
if u use 6v batteries u have to put these batteries in
series connection or if you use 12v battery but with less
Ah (Ampere/per hour)you have to connect these batteries in
parellel connection.
ADVERSE EFFECT:- IN UPS BATTERY CHARGING CURRENT IS LIMITED
FOR SAFETY OF BATTERY SO AFTER PUTTING TWO BATTERIES THE
CHARGING TIME BECOMES HIGH.
SECONDLY AFTER PUTTING TWO BATTERIES THE CHARGING CURRENT
OF BATTERIES BECOMES HIGH WHICH MAY PUT EXTRA LOAD ON
BATTERY CHARGER WHICH MAY BURN THE BATTERY CHARGER UNIT.
