A Generator is in running condition and Rotor earth fault
alarm is coming.How to check on line(i.e in running
condition) whether there is actual earth fault in rotor or
not.

stage. One 4 alarm & other 4
trip. One can check the
bridge o/p voltage(mV) &
compare with comissioning
time value.

rotor earth fault alarm comes only if our carbon brushes
become earthed. it may be at the time of changing carbon
brushes.

we have to check the status of zero sequence relay..
if its not affected then there is not any earth fault

with the help of multimeter at rotor both end.but one side
wire who is grounded must be grounded.
