what does the regenerative braking mean?and how it used for
Dc motor? thanks.

regenerative braking is a method which is used to to stop
the DC motor immediately against moment of inertia.A
regenerative brake is a mechanism that reduces vehicle speed
by converting some of its kinetic energy into a storeable
form of energy instead of dissipating it as heat as with a
conventional brake. The captured energy is stored for future
use or fed back into a power system for use by other
electrical equipment.

Let's take an example of a train, which is coming down the hill.during coming down it not requires any supply to drive its motors ,(often when you put your bike in nutrel mode, when you coming down to save fuel),so now it can supply its power again to grid or supply, otherwise totally wastage
