as transformer in the primary supply it will be induced in
the secondary
But the same in # phase it acts as the transformer as the
secondary is a short circuited one

Answer / dilawar husain
A three phase induction motor works as a short circuited
transformer in case we block the motor rotation. otherwise
it works on Lenz's Law,where the induced emf tries to
nullify the source causing this effect and thus rotates to
chase the rotating three phase field.

both transfromer and induction motor works on same
principle, i.e. mutual induction. the difference is ihe
secondary in inductiom motor is short circuited.
