Arranging batteries in series is to configure the required
voltage. After configured the required voltage by series
connections a parallel connections of the series connected
batteries is arranged to a limit that it will not induce
overcurrent to UPS System, otherwise it will cause
overcurrent and damaging UPS System.

back up time depends on storage in batteries =VxAH.In
series voltages add up and in paralllel AHs add up
