What is DRX? Why do we need it?..

Answer / gunavivek.v.v.s

DRX is a discontinuous receiver.It also used inside the
mobile.It is same as that of DTX for battery life saving
purpose.It turns ON when the voice is present at the
receiver side and OFF when no voice is present.
