transformer works on the principal of mutual induction.That
is a changing currrent n one coil induce an e.m.f in another
coil.

transformer mainly works on the mutual induction principle.
if primary gets excited with supply the winding itself
induces flux, these flux links with windings produces emf
in primary these primary flux links with secondary winding
and produces emf according to the mutual induction
principle.
