Pa is the bigger unit so mm of Hg or cm of water is used
for small pressure values like that of bp or lung pressure

amol is correct.....

u need appropriate measurement unit for each situation..
for eg u dont say the distance between mumbai n kolkata is
200000000 cm ..we say in miles or km.
or u dont say the time 3.15 pm as 900000 milliseconds past 3
..
760mm=76cm=1 atm=1.013*10e5 pascals or N/m2
so normal bp is 80/120 mm which comes out as
1.06*10e4/1.6*10e4......pascals... which d ya think the
common man will understand..??...

pressure intensity can be measured by using the height from
the datum line multiplied by the specific weight.

p=w.h

so pressure also is dependent on height(obviously height
can be measured in cms) thats it
