how dc ct works?..

there is no CT to sense DC current

but it can be sensed by using two sets of rectifier units
placing one input to primary side of transformer and the
other in secondary side of the transformer.

but this is too expensive

for measuring current on dc ckt. A shunt connected in the
ckt, drop of mv volt measured and shown accordingly.
