By using Cable Fault Locator. make is 3M. it locates the
charged ug cables. it looks like a machine gun. It
generates some electromagnetic waves and tries to find
whether there any matching signals are there or not. while
carrying it among the surface of earth, it will give beep
sound if any charged cable found. it will show the depth of
the cable also. Right now i am using it in my field.

metal detecor is more than enough for finding the
underground cable . i have used when i work in qatar . when
we have to digg for cable laying or for any other purpose
we have to search there whether is there any live cables or
cables underground . exactly not remember but upto some
length of depth we can found underground cables . with out
metal there is no cable ..... so metal detector is morethan
enough .
