flurescent bulb rating is to 230v,50HZ.now flurescent
connected 230v,25HZ.whether nreduced frequency will affect
the glowing properties of flurescent.

Answer / nahin
yes.
fluorescent bulb works under the principle of scattering of
electron. An incident electron collides with an atom in the
gas. According to the Einstein formula: Kmax=hf+phi,
the kinetic energy depends on the frequency. So, if we
reduce the frequency, the kinetic energy of electrons will
also be reduced and thus the performance will be degraded.

yes, surely affected the glowing.
flurescent lamp in 50hz supply 20milli second one time
reached in zero position in sine wave (that time light not
glowing) that time is very less. in 25hz supply 40ms one
time reached in zero position that time light not full
brightness compared to 50hz supply.
