a proteinase acts on angiotensinogen a plasma protein
synthesised in the liver to split off a decapeptide called
angiotensin-1.
This decapeptide inturn is acted upon by a peptidase called
converting enzyme present in serum to form an octapeptide
called angiotensin-2.
