Motor is designed to with stand the surge of starting current for a short period.if load driven is jammed or over loaded the time the overload thermal relay will trip and save the motor from burning.

How can i calculate the Breaking capacity of molded case circuit breaker, is the breaking capacity of CB for Diesel generator shall be less than grid supply's breaker ?
