A diode Is ued as a Rectifier which is used to convert ac to pulsating dc ...the output of the rectifier is given to filter circut that ckt removes the pulsating and obtion pure dc...actually rectification process is done above the cut in voltage like 0.7...but it rectifies to low level signals like below o.7 we are using a diode is called precision diode
