Transformer's rating is always shown in kva instead of kw because there is no phase difference between current and voltage. it is multiple of primary current and primary voltage for single phase transformer and √3*V*I for three phase transformer

will a transformer work when pulsating dc id applied to its primary?? what will be the result??
