isolation transformer acts as magnetic connection between
source and load but not physically or electrically connected
so that it separate source and load in order to protect load
from high currents in fault conditions

basically it is used for to make neutral point&to reduce harmonic currents.its input voltage to output voltage same.

Basically it established the isolation b/w high power circuit and low power circuit. Like in Electronics they dealing with low powers.

If not, then the secondary circuit load may get damage from high power.
