Current transformer is a instrument which measures current
only for measurement as well as protection. CVT is a
instrument which reduce the high voltage signal into low
voltage signal for protective relays.CVT also used for
measuring high voltage and further used for communication
system (ie) carrier communication

Hi If connecting a temp generator 670KVA .415kv with step up Tx .415/11kv. I am given Generator impedances Z1 Z2 Z0 to 100MVA base. Do I need to work out the generator fault current by using these impedances i.e gen rating / impedance. Then use this as my source impedance for the calculations that follow.
