There are three stages in concrete's life that need to be
considered when developing the mix: the fresh concrete, the
newly completed concrete, and everything after that for the
rest of its life. The requirements for good performance in
each of these three stages can actually conflict.so we need
to design the concrete acoording to strength reqired for
all the three stages of concrete.

Design mix concrete is based on weight. the components of concrete will be weighed to arrive for a particular strength of concrete as required like M25, M30, M40 etc..
The samples will be selected from quarries and tested in the laboratory to arrive at the proportion.
