Differences between Modular & Integrated PLC ?
Answer / m.selvam
Integrated PLC : Fixed PLC (Input & output modules are Fixed
not Expandable)
1. Integrated PLC means
Basic or Low PLC and this type of PLC have Fixed (N) input
and output Module.
2. This type of PLC mostly
used to Fixed Application and Home Automation .
Modular PLC : Modification PLC (Input &
output modules are Expandable Not Fixed)
1. Modular PLC means Middle
or High Level PLC and this type of PLC have N+ Input and
Output Modules.
2. This type of PLC mostly
used to Industrial Automation .
Ex:
Siemens S7-200 PLC is Integrated type PLC
Siemens S7-300,S7-400 and S7-1200 are Modular type
PLC
