addition of foreign particles (dirt) to a fluid will affect
its density. thus type of flow (laminar or turbulent) may
change as it is depends on reynolds no.
also dirt particles may choke valves or any other thin cross
section that may come in way

due to presence of sedmentals in the dirty fluid,it wil
stick on the surface of pipe and allover loss of velocity
and pressure due to obestraction in the pipe.
