Transformer is static electrical device,it change voltage
and current at different rate without change power and
frequency.i.e. what we gave power to primary side it same
will be there in secondary side and also frequency.

Transformer is a static electrical device witch transfer
electrical energy from one circuit to another circuit
without changing frequency but change the voltage and
current. secondary turns of transformer is higher than
primary turns that transformer is called step up transformer.
secondary turns of transformer is lower than primary turns
that transformer is called step down transformer.

We know that primary transmission is done to reduce current so that i^2*r loss could be minimised but according to ohm's law v is directly proportional to i,which indirectly means higher potential difference means larger current?so how the current is minimised in high power transmission line??
