We know that R=l/a so
R is inversly
proportional to the
area of the pin, if the
hole size is more less
wil be the resistance so
there is less opposition
to the flow of leakage
current to earth.

Because when we inserting the plug in to the socket first
big pin i.e. first earthed, if there is any leakage of
current may also be we are safe or otherwise we under goes
to electric shock.

Actually Resistance is universally proportional to cross section area of the conductor it means when conducting materiel is thick the resistance will decrease then leakage current flow easily
