Right formula is = V = [L X B X d] + h / 3 [ A1 + A2 + ROUTE
UNDER A1 A2 ] where , l = length , b = breadth , d = bottom
depth , h = D - d , A1 = bottom area , A2= top area (ii) is
= V = [L X B X d] + h/6(A1 + A2 + 4 Am) where , h = D - d ,
A1 = bottom area , A2= top area, Am = Mean of Top and Bottom
Area

in trapezoidal footing we seperate the footing as two
parts.one is rectangle another is trapezoidal
for taking rectangular portion= (L*B*d)
L=length of footing
B=breath of footing
d=footing depth (at the end of rectangle portion height)
for taking trapezoidal
v=h/3((A1+A2)+sqrt(A1A2))
V=volume
A1= footing area (L*B)
A2= column area+ add 50mm for each side ((l+100)+(b+100))
h=height difference(D-d)
finally,
Add =rectangle+trapezoidal
= (L*B*d)+h/3((A1+A2)+sqrt(A1A2))

Please divide the footing in to 2 parts i,e 1) Bottom
rectangular portion & 2)top slope portion
Total volume (V) = v1+v2
Volume of bottom / rectangular portion is called as Volume
(v1)
Volume of top / slope portion is called as Volume (v2)
V1 = L1xB1xh1
V2= h2/3* (a1+a2)* square root of (a1+a2)
L1= length of bottom portion
B1= breadth of bottom portion
h1 = height of bottom portion
L2 = length of top portion
B2= breadth of top portion
h2 = height of top portion
a1= area of bottom bottom Portion = L1*B1
a2 = area of top rectangle portion= L2 *b2

Quantity = 1/6*(top area+bottom area+ 4* mean area)
Example
top length =3m, width =2m
bottom length =5m , width =4m
height =1m
Top area =3*2 = 6 sqm
Bottom area = 5*4 = 20 sqm
Mean area =(5+3)/2*(4+2)/2 = 12 sqm
Quantity = 1/6*(6 + 20 +4*12)= 12.33 cum

QUANTITY CALCULATION FOR TRAPEZOIDAL: 1/2*H(A+B)*L
EXAMPLE:FOOTING TOP WIDTH:2.00M
FOOTING BOTTOM WIDTH:4.00M
FOOTING HEIGHT :6.00M
FOOTING LENGTH :10.00M THEN,
QUANTITY OF TRPEZOIDAL FOOTING :
1/2*H(A+B)*L
1/2*6.00(2.00+4.00)*10.00
1/2*6.00(6.00)*10.00=180.00CUM
