AN AUTO TRANSFORMER IS A SINGLE CORE TRANSFORMER COPPER
WINDINGS ARE WOUNDED ON THEM
WE CAN USE THIS TRANSFORMER WHERE WE WANT REDUCE THE THE
SUPPLY VOLTAGE AND ALSO INCREASE THE VOLTAGE.

we can reduce the amount
of copper but in the case of
normal 2 winding t/r
require more copper for
winding
and also there is lot of
losses in normal transformer

i) in which cases should we go for neutral and where should we go for ground? ii) in domestic supply we are getting 230v a.c.and what is the amount of current?
