I try to check the three phase voltage in multimeter, in
125A isolator switch incommer. first i touch R phase, and
then i touch Y phase using multimeter, the moment i touched,
it blasts and that moment i got blindness. multimeter
selector position is correct(750V AC MODE AND RED PROBE WASS
IN v AND BLACK PROBE WASS IN COM. MODE. COULD ANYBODY GIVE
ANSWER FOR THIS TO AVOID FURTHER ACCIDENTS PLEASE?

The distance between the live parts would be very small and
meter prob exposed part accidently (prob slipped,sudden
noise,vibration etc.)shorted the two phases,and a results
in a ballast.

your selector switch position was correct ,by right the
multimeter should have given you the voltage reading ,but
than some multimeter comes with a separate probe socket for
testing of amperes. maybe maybe, the probe was wrongly
plugged into this socket.
