A Interrupt is a condition that causes the microprocessor
to work on a different task and then later on return to its
previous task. It is of two types
1.Internal or software Interrupt
2.External or hardware Interrupt

to break the sequence of operation. while the cpu is
executing a program, an 'interrupt' breaks the normal
sequence of execution of instructions & diverts into some
other program called Interrupt Service Routine(ISR).After
executing ISR the control is transfered back again to the
main program which was being executed at the time of
interruption.
