Why 250 or 500 ohm load resistance is use in any transmitter

The transmitter normaly Gives 4-20 mA out put current. SO
when you use 250 Ohms resistance it will
produce: .004X250=1.0 Volt to .020X250 = 5olt out put
signal interms of voltage (accross the resistance),
Similarly, the 500 ohms will give an output voltage of 2 to
10 volt accross the resistance.

250 ohm resistance use only in smart loop use only for hart communication and not use for other purpose
any device is not smart then we do not use 250 ohm why so the 250 ohm use only for hart protocol
