if ind. motor operate at synch. speed than there will be no
rate of change of flux and hence no induced emf hence no
torque.

synchronous motor cant be operated on synchronous speed
becoz it if the motor will run on synchronous speed then
there will be no fluxx cut by the conductor of rotor as a
result of which there will be no induced emf in the rotor
nd there is no motion in the rotor , therefore the
synchronous motor will operated in synchronous speed

induction motor does not run at synchronous speed because
synchronous speed is a speed of rotating megnetig field ie
rotor runs at Ns the rmf & rotor conductor are comes in
parallel so no cuts the field so emf not produced thatswhy
induction motor does not run at Ns

emf induced in the rotor conductors is dynamically induced emfs.cndotion for dynamically induced emf is there z relative motion between flux and rotor conductors. if induction motor is rotating at shynchronous speed , then relative velocity is zero & no emf production & torque is proportional to the square of the induced voltage so no torque which can turn or twist the rotor is zefo thats why induction motor never rotate at synchronous speed

induction motor CAN run at syn speed but due
to mechanical strain there is bound to be a
slip .The higher the slip higher the current
consumed thus it cannot be operated at a slip
higher than the fill load current. If the motor
is "driven"at no slip than there is no current
consumed that means there is no induced emf in
the rotor as Amit Mohan has said. That means
you are driving the motor instead of the motor
driving anything
nothing would happen to the motor, you are just
turning the motor at syn speed.
