The 8051 is a micro controller ic which was developed by
intel on 1980 using intel MCS-51 Harvard Architecture so
that it called 80(year of developed) 51(Intel Architecture).

i think the operating voltage of this processor is 5v.The
processor is taken from z80 series of processors.
