Answer / satish

Green field exposure relates to having worked on a project from the concept/FEED stage until the completion of construction/Commissioning. It can also be limited to be part of the design phase from beginning or Construction phase from beginning.

The brown field exposure pertains to having experience in working on small or large scale modifications in any plant/facility/unit etc......In this case the owner of such a facility intends to upgrade their production capacity by make changes to some of the process.
In green field projects you have the luxury to decide on your own what is good for the project while in brown field you may have to consider the already existing design/philosophy/models etc to maintain a uniformity and help the operations people.
