2ton=3000W=3.75KVA
utility power of generator is 90%=125x90/100=112.5KVA
Therefore,no.of a/c's=112.5/3.75=33

1 Ton = 12000 Btu/hr.
also one Btu/h is equal to 0.293 watts so...One ton = 3.516
Kilowatts
Hence, 2 Ton = 2*3.516 KW = 7.032 KW
Let we take efficiency of Power Generator = 98%.
Hence, 125 KVA = 125*98% = 122.5 KW.
so no of AC can run on a 125 KVA Generator = 122.5/7.032 =
17 (nearest no) (Ans)

You guys are close.
1ton does indeed = 1400 watts (starting power is higher than the continuous 1150 watts). But the power factor won't be 98%, it'll be more like 80%. So the 120kva = 100,000 watts.
2800 watts each works out to 35 or so 2ton window ACs.
