flywheel size of diesel engine is always high as compared to
the same rating petrol engine because the compression ratio
in diesel engine is high and the same self starter has to do
more work...so, to reduce the effect of this, a bigger
flywheel ring is provided to compensate the torque and
workdone...

as ci engine is ruff combustion and also high power so it
