how air condition work in the car?..

Answer / bharani

Car Air-Conditioner in a car is a rotary compressor type and
is coupled to the engine crankshaft using 'V' belt.
When you have not switched on the AC, clutch of the rotary
comressor is dis-engaged and only the wheel of the comressor
will be rotating hence no additional load on your engine.
When you switch on your AC, clutch of your AC compressor
engages and the compressor starts rotating compressing the
coolant which is circulated inside the evaporator coil
mounted inside the cabin. That is when you would feel a small
drop in the engine power as it has to run the compressor.
A small thermostat mounted inside the cabin switchs on and
off the compressor as per the set temperature.
