It is not economical and feasible to generate other than 3 Phase. It require more and complex applications for to generate and transmit the power.

we can Generate 3phase, 6phase, 9phase even 12 phase.
Which is not economical Feasible.

no, it is not possible to generater 4 and 5 phases.The main
thing is symmetrical phase diffrence. In 3 phase the phase
diffrence is 120 deg. between each phase.Hence we can
generate 3 phase .We can also generate 6 phases with phase
differance 60 deg.
