IT IS NEUTRAL DISPLACEMENT RELAY AND IT IS USED FOR VARIOUS
PROTECTION BUT THE PRINCIPLE IS THAT IN CASE OF NO FAULT NO
VOLTAGE IN RELAY ( IT USED OPEN DELTA VOLTAGE FOR RELAY
INPUT ) AND IF FAULT OCCUR IN ANY PHASE THEN UNBALANCED
VOLTAGE WILL GET ACROSS OPEN DELTA FOR RELAY TO OPERATE.

It could be non-directional relay which is cheaper than
directional relay and used wherever current is not expected
in both directions.

why power is generatd at 50 hz only..? can we do this on another freq...?

We have laid the single core Armoured cable 7 nos ( 2 each phase & 1 neutral ) to cater our electrical load . the issue is though we have Glanded the cable both the end also givan the earthing to the panel both the end we are facing a heavy sparking at the gland side. what could be the reason.
