If mutation occirs at intron region of primary transcript
then functional mRNA will not be generated. This is due to
defect in mRNA splicing. May be this mutation occurs at one
of the splice site which results in production of mRNA of
different sizes.

ITS RIGHT THAT IF THE MUTATION OCCURS At.........then it
will result in production of different size m-
RNA, but it will resulted in production of undesired
proteins. which will result in unrequired function of that
proteins.

Answer 1 is right but it is only effective if mutation
occure in splicing site or at any site on intron which is
actively participating in splicing. There is one more fact
that if mutation occure in one or few RNA molecules then it
will not make any effect as there will be lots of other
unmutated RNA which will perform correct fumction. in answer
2 it is saying for undesired protein which have very very
less probability because there is very less chance of
production of an active protein.

introns are basically the non coding regions or sequences
and are removed during post translational modification so
they hardly have any function.Even if introns are remoived
it is not going to make any remarkable difference in the
formation of a mature m RNA.

Mutation, simply bcoz RNA doesn't have any capacity of 'Proof
reading' i.e. to check whether a particular base is placed at
right position or not.

The village of Oblong has 400 normally-shaped residents. Transferrin is an iron carrier found in blood, and electrophoretic variation of this protein is determined by an autosomal codominant system. The citizens of Oblong were typed for their transferrin complements. The distribution of transferrin phenotypes was: 100 CC, 100 CD, and 200 DD. What is the frequency of the C allele?
