yes i agree with what shailesh had said above.Yesterday i
spoke with a person ( friend of some of my relatives
relative) who joined NIC in the same designation some 15 or
20 yrs back.....he is now in a very good position
there...he asked me about my current job....when i
explained him the things he said dont waste ur time
there...u will get good oppurtunities in NIC....there will
be promotions once in atlease every three-four
years....though the pay package will appear less then what
you get in the pvt firms the in hand cash will be more
then that ....u will also get more PF ( since in govt firms
ur basic will be more )....and this also includes other
benifits like foreign tours/trainings and other
stuff......and u will also be satisfied with the work u do
here......he strogly recomended me to join NIC....
Also i was browsing through other fourms...i found there
people giving very bad remarks about NIC....saying its a
contract job.....no salarys on time and etc etc...but i
found that those posts were made by people in waiting list
so that the confirmed people leave the offer and they can
get this oppurtunity......
In addition to all these rumors NIC is still not issuing
offer of appointment...nor they are giving any
communication when the offer will be made....
Finally the thing is that nothing is clear to me...and i am
not able to judge what to do....

I am working in infosys from last 2 yrs and i know
how fair the appraisal process is.I think u might have not
seen the politics in the project where the large pie is
taken up by the seniors and employees like us will get
nothing....i was rated in the 3 best in my project of 50
members for last 2 yrs.but still i have not seen any rise
in my package.but senior guys who are having 7 or 8 yrs of
experience and who dont work had got a good hike....do u
think this is fair.

i dont see any rumors in the above posts.the is all
the information which is availble in the web.U say that u
get medical, i too get it,but it is not something which the
company gives for ur benefit...they reduce ur basic pay and
provide the amount as medical or travel allowance in order
to save the provident fund deposited by them.More the basic
pay for you , the company have pay more employers pf in ur
account.thats why they will restructure ur package such
that they will pay minimum possible basic pay and give the
other amount as medical.whereas in govt jobs u can clearly
see ur basic pay will be double the amount of ur basic
here.so govt will deposit double the pf into ur pf
account.this means when u retire u will get double the
amount when u r in govt jobs then in pvt jobs.

it was really a good point that govt oppurtunities does not
come frequently but pvt u can find them easily.

spoke to NIC.They told that the letters will be despatched
by the 3rd week of august.The current delay is due to the
adjustments going on to accomodate the waitlisted people
and to decide the posting also.As there is huge requirement
in NIC, the waitlisted people may also get offer to join.

if really NIC persons are thinking to give chance towaiting
list guys..its really very good for all those are in
waiting list.
but they did not give any waiting list till now???

yes Ajay,please share the NIC number so that v can also
enquire the other detials.i also got info that may be some
100 people in waiting list may get an oppurtunity but not
sure what is the criteria for that.
Pranjal, What do u mean by saying they did not giv any
waiting list till now.According to my knowledge there are
200 people in waiting list.

hey 3 months for waiting list candidates or selected
people? and what about appointment order... from that we'll
atleast be definite

3 months for selected people.we may get the letters by end
of this month.then we have to complete the medical and send
the reports to them.once they receive the medical reports
and verify they will give the date of joining and place.And
if the waitlisted people wil get chance then they will also
join with the selected guys.
