QTP object spy doesn't identify the objects in MOzilla and fire fox . QTP supports only Internet explorer objects. lets try it guys.

Not Only ObjectSpy if u try to add the object also Qtp will
not recoganise it Because QTP need Add-ins to identify the
Webapplication and this add-in will get intiated when qtp
is Opened by selecting the appropriate add-in.once qtp
window is opened u can open a browser and spy it or add-it

hi all, I have installed QTP successfully on windows vista. I am able to record and run on windows applications, but facing problem with web applications. While recording, I am able to open the web application, but when I click on any object or give login name and password, the events are not getting recorded in QTP. Could anyone solve the problem. Any settings to be done for web applications other than selecting web-addin? Waiting for replies. Thanks in advance.

In my case while recording, When i open new window and give checkpoint for some control and when i run that script QTP give error like" can not identify the object" Is there any method or solution to handle child window issue Note: In my apllication i have to check child window of child window also ( multiple windows open )

Hi, I want to retrieve the cell data in the WebTable. For that I have defined a new test object under the browser and have given html tag and text as the test object properties. But while I try to identify it it says 'Object description is not unique'. I tried adding innerhtml, outerhtml, innertext and outertext along with the ordinal identifiers; but no use. What more properties need to be added to identify it? Also I want to enable smart identification for this object but the field is disabled in the object repository for this object alone(In QTP tools->object identification the enable smart identification checkbox is enabled). How do I enable it?

Hi, When iam trying to import sheet to the QTP Global data table at the run time using the Importsheet method.It is able to import the sheet but no data is present after the import due to which the test is failing.Could anyone suggest what should be done. When I open the actual excel sheet data is present and is not corrupted.
