Hi

We can install QTP Tool on Virtual machine.
The maintenance number is needed to install.
To get the maintenance number follow the below steps.

Pre Condition : Your QTP License is need to be expired.
1.Launch the QTP Tool.
2.Your are able to see the License Error.
3.Click on "Install License" button.
4.Select your license type as Seat and say Yes on the pop up
window.
5.Now you are able to see Maintenance number on this window
"QTP License Installation - Welcome"

Without integrating QC/Testdirector with QTP, is it possible to keep track of the defects?If yes how? How to export QTP results to an excel sheet?

Hi All, I am 4 yrs experieced in manual testing and new to automation tool QTP. Iam trying to learn it thru online and material i have.I am able to understand but unable to trace out which method or function to be used where necessary in VB Script. How come we know the functions or methods to be used to open a window when clicking on button or so...Pls suggest me.How can i proceed further to apt VB Script.

My Application is a client server application , but there is one functionality , when we click on one particular icon it launches web browser . When I am recording in QTP , By select approprait web add in also , it not able to record in web page , I am able to record till click on the icon. Please provide me how to over come this type of problem.
