how to pd(2) to pd(0) in suzuki reaction..

Answer / gangaraju.pj

when palladium diphenyl phosphine complex with aryl halide
it goes to pd(2) from pd(o) this is called oxidative
addition. again it goes to pd(0) stage after metal
transformation followed by reductive elimination.

how to pd(2) to pd(0) in suzuki reaction..

Answer / sunil

pph3 is a neutral ligand..so its oxdation state should be 0...and the overall complex oxdation state will be changed to pd(2) when it reacts with aryl halide substitution

how to pd(2) to pd(0) in suzuki reaction..

Answer / pushpal bhaket

In the Suzuki reaction. The first step is the oxidative
addition. In this step, the Palladium need to be zero
valency state. In case of Pd(PPh3)4, the palladium metal is
in zero valency and therefore can easily take part in the
oxidative addition. However, for other Palladium (II)
complexes eg Pd(OAc)2, Pd(PPh3)2Cl2, Pd2
(MeCN)2Cl2 reducers (for instance Et3N) are added which
converts Pd(II) to Pd(0).
