A circle of a playground is to be fenced at circumference.The cost of the fencing is Rs.150 per sq..

Answer / antz

Rate should be Rs 150 per meter (not sqm).

(Rs 150 / m) * circumference
= (Rs 150 / m) * pi * diameter
= (Rs 150 / m) * (22/7) * 70 m
= Rs 150 * 22 * 10
= Rs 33000

A circle of a playground is to be fenced at circumference.The cost of the fencing is Rs.150 per sq..

Answer / ashutosh upadhyay

Seems like a trick in the question.
Rate is 150 per sq meters. Which can be interpreted as "150
Rs to fence a square whose area is 1 sq meter". Perimeter of
a square whose area is 1 sq meter is 4 meters (each side of
one meters).

So 4 meters => 150 Rs
Cost per meter => 75/2
Circumference of field => 2*22/7*35
Total cost for fencing the field => 2*(22/7)*35*(75/2)

= Rs 8250

not to mention the unit of diameter .

but they mention 1sqm = rs.150

sqm is unit of area.

total area=22/7*r*r=22/7*35*35=3850sqm

total cost=3850*150=rs.5,77,500

A circle of a playground is to be fenced at circumference.The cost of the fencing is Rs.150 per sq..

Answer / yashasvi yuvraj

Cost for Area(πr^2)= rs 150
Cost for 2πr^2=rs 2×150
Cost for 2πr(circumference)= rs (2×150)/r.
Now,
Circumference= 2×22/7×35=220
Cost of fencing= 220×(2×150)/r
=Rs 1885.7

Karan bought a little box of midget matches, each one inch in length. He found that he could arrange them all in the form of a triangle whose area was just as many square inches as there were matches. He then used up six of the matches, and found that with the remainder he could again construct another triangle whose area was just as many square inches as there were matches. And using another six matches he could again do precisely the same. How many matches were there in the box originally? Note that the match-box can hold maximum of 50 matches.
