Hi,
RTM is nothing but a Requirment Tracebility Matrix which is
a documrnt , contains the columns like BRS ID,FS ID,Test
Caase Id,Test case Status ,Defect Id,defect Status ,Assign
to and Remarks....
Acrually RTM is Used for mapping the rquirments with the
testcases...and to find the root cause of the bug....
The main aim of the RTM is to add a new requirmnet in the
existing software....
This is a document share by TL and BA
To find out root cause of the bug we will use Backward
direction(right to left) by TL
To map the requiremant with testcases we will use forward
direction (left to right) by BA...
Correct me if i am wrong...

In a SDLC the Requirement traceability matrix is a document
that correlates high-level requirements (sometimes known as
marketing requirements) and test plan, and test cases. This
matrix provides a very high level view of test coverage
across the requirements.
