first u have to study Software requirement (SRS) & Write
TEst Cases on basis of SRS & Execute the & The Results
which r not mactching to expected result are post into the
defect tracking tool. and u have also need to assign
severity of that bug.

Hi Priyan,
I hope I am not too late to give some more suggestions.
Most of them have been telling you to read SRS. Apart from
SRS, glance thru FRS (in some companies they are known as
Use Cases, Business Requirements) and their traced SRS
(Application Use Cases, IT Requirements). You need to
prepare the Test Cases following test case checklist based
upon those requirements and when code is delivered to test,
you have to execute those test cases on the application.
Any anamolies found should be logged and reported i defect
management tool and have to be tracked to closure.

Hi Priyan ,this is chennamsubbaraidu.
c priyan,in manual testing,first at the starting of the
project testing,u will get the SRS Document.
First u study the SRS Clearly and understand the Flow.
THen u will get the Builds(modules)For the Testing.And u
will get the Test case Templates from u r TL.
Now According to the SRS Flow u should Test u r Module and
Prepare the Testcase Report.According to u r company and TL
Restructions u r suppose to prepare the Positive and
Negative test cases.
