Hai, i am rajendra
A Tester sholud know following technologies
1.C-language
2.Java/C++ or atleast object oriented language basics
3.Database SQLServer/Oracle or atlease simple SQL querriies
4.Some Networking concepts TCP/IP..etc
5.HTML,VB Script,Java Script....scriting languages
6.Microsoft presentaion tools like
MS PowerPoint,
MS Excel...etc
If you the above you are called as fully armed soldier in
software testing.
C- language is useful for learning Winrunner Automation tool
bcoz Winrunner scripting languageis Test Script language is
very much similar to c -languge.
The QTP uses VbScript or JavaScript for automation script
generation.
SQL queries are useful for database testing manually and
also useful automated Data driven testing.
MS office is useful for test data presentation.

A Black Box Tester doesnot require any language other than
English . But should have good Analtical Mind & Strong
Testing Concepts.

A Black Box Tester does not require any language other than
English but in case of white box tester they should have
good programming knowledge.
In case of automation test engineer, they should have good
knowledge of VB script, C# (DotNet) and Java script.
it will depends on automation tool.

as ramprasad said no languages are required except the
communication in English is more than enough as the
developers will give the sql quiers by the dba guys or data
base designers as u need to know every thing from the
functional specifications as lot of documents are available
while development. these documents are prepared by each
developer regarding their work.
if had some knowledge on the programing it will be an added
advantage but not required

Hi,
As far as my knowledge the software Tester should learn
the Language C.Because this the Basic one.If you learn this
language it is easy for you to work on Automated tool
Winrunner.
And as a Tester you should aware of Software
Enginnering,Data Base concepts.

can u explain me v-model?I told him we will do parallely both devolpment and testing . frs------------useraccepatance testing \ / srs system testing \ / HLD integration testing \ / LLD--------------------- unit testing \ / CODING he asked me how ur frs is done parallel with useracceptence testing and srs is done parallel to system testing and HLD IS done parallel to integration testing and LLD is done parallel to unit testing.Give me a clear clarification for it?

We can check many things in one test case, then Is it necessary to write separate test case for checking each functionality? Example : For Login Window --> Test Case is---> 1) Enter valid user id & password --> For this expected result --> 1) User should login. My question --> while executing above valid test case, we can expect more than one result such as "Visibility of password should be as ****" So Should I have to write separate test case for "Visibility of Password" OR Not? Please guide me properly.
