If an account has a debit balance, its meaning will be
determined by the type of account. If it is a personal
account then it means that the person is a debtor,if a real
account has a debit balance,it means that it is an asset
and if a nominal account has a debit balance, then it means
that it is an expense or loss.

If sundry debtors account is having debit balance means it
is excess received by debtors or amount received but invoice
not entered in debtors account. and if a sundry creditors
having debit balance it means we paid advance or payment
made bill was not entered.
