Equity share means part of share. The equity share holders is part of the company owners. the company first off all the paid dividend preference share holders,After equity share holders. When company get profit the paid divided for all, when company not profits only paid dividend preference holders, don't paid equity share holders.

payment of dividend and voting rights.the other way around
is for equity
