If developers team doesn't agree with the bug raised by you, what is the next step would you t..

Answer / nt

A bug reported may not be a bug with the system developed.
It may come from any supported third party product.

If developer does not agree with the bug/defect, he/she has
to provide detailed clarification, why he/she is not
feeling this could be a bug. All clarifications must be
recorded in the bug tracking tool.
If tester finds a right justification and it complies with
SRS, he could take right action for the bug.

Developer will have to post some comment on that bug in the
test management tool. If comment justifies the problem
sounds okay else the state of the bug will be reopen.

Answer / thils

First i re-check requirements to verify whether i had done
any mistake or not
If i am 100% sure that i haven's done any mistake then can
discuss with the particular developer.
Still he/she doesn't agree then discuss with the matter with
related team leader

If developers team doesn't agree with the bug raised by you, what is the next step would you t..

Answer / sonal.pagare

I will plan a meeting to discuss regarding the concerned
bug(s) as there could be one of the following situations-

1. The steps taken for out-coming of the bug may be different.

2. The environment variables (e.g. browser, OS etc) may differs.

3. Being a tester I will try to have screenshots or if don't
have then will re-produce the bus and take screenshot to
report the bug more specifically.

4. If still we will not come to any decision then this
matter has been left to the seniors.

Hope my answer would be satisfactory.
